Sheep flock off to N.Z.

Land of the Long White CloudIts widely known that the new Zealanders have a fondness for sheep, which is no doubt why 27 sheep left Cape Town this week for New Zealand. One could say that was like bringing coals to Newcastle, however these were sheep paintings by artist Ann Gadd destined for an exhibition at the Zohar Gallery in April and organised by Ann’s agent in New Zealand, Tiffany de Jager of Goosebump Art.

I was asked to produce 5 paintings for the directors of Intakatech, one of which was Tokyo Sexwale. It was a great comission, as each director required a set of ideas specific to his business. Naturally Tokyo had 2010 “On the ball” sheep and “B.E.E.”
